In Gratitude

I am continually blown away by the abundance in the universe.  The abundance of love, friendship, kindness, support, opportunities and synchronicities.  Just recently I literally stumbled upon a great opportunity to open up an office space at my chiropractor’s office.  You never know where or when an opportunity will present itself.

After eight months of weight lifting at the gym, I had gotten into a routine.  I was just warming up when a twinge happened in my low back.  I thought perhaps I had merely strained a muscle in my back, so I continued my workout avoiding anything that put strain on my back.  I even did some yoga stretches and left the gym feeling somewhat hopeful that the twinge was just a strained muscle.  Unfortunately, as the day progressed, the muscles in my back began to seize up.  The next morning on the way to the kitchen, I tripped over a dog toy and instantly received a jolt of electrical pain radiating down through my lower back and left leg.  I knew immediately this was a disc problem.  I called my chiropractor (Dr. Kevin Morgan, he’s awesome by the way), and headed over for some treatment.  Turns out I had slipped my L-5 disc and Dr. Morgan began the task of literally getting me back on my feet.  The treatment for this injury required more than one visit.  During the last visit Dr. Morgan asked about how my business was going, specifically where I was working from.  I told him I had been looking for office space but rent was more than I could afford.  He looked at me for a split second, then said “well, you know I have an office upstairs that I’ve been thinking of renting if you are interested.”  I was floored, I had been looking for a space for the past 4 weeks and had all but given up, resigning myself to make the best of my home office space.  And here, while getting my back fixed, I find the perfect place to rent!

Now I am sitting here writing this newsletter from my new office space!  I am beyond grateful to Dr. Morgan for not only healing my back but being generous enough to offer me a space at a price I could afford.  The way life unfolds is mysterious. Who could have guessed that the misfortune of hurting my back would turn into a great opportunity?

In honor of my good fortune, the theme for Wednesday’s Yoga Nidra Class is gratitude.

And if you are in need of Hypnotherapy services, my office is now open!

Wishing you all an abundance of good fortune!

In deepest gratitude,

Kirsten
